Nature’s Antibiotic 🍯
An ancient remedy for immune support, gut health & glowing skin.
All you need: raw honey + peeled garlic + patience
🫶Let it sit, bubble, and work its magic.
What it does for you:
Strengthens the immune system (especially during cold & flu season)
Helps ease sore throats, coughs, and congestion
Supports a healthy gut microbiome
Reduces inflammation and oxidative stress
Offers gentle antiviral and antibacterial protection
Can aid digestion and detox pathways
Why it works:
Garlic and honey are two powerhouse natural ingredients that have been used for centuries for immunity, healing, and gut support — and when they’re fermented together, they become even more potent.
🧄 Garlic:
Contains allicin, a compound with strong antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties.
Supports immune function, helps fight infections, and reduces inflammation.
Also known to support heart health and balance blood pressure + cholesterol.
🍯 Raw Honey:
Naturally antimicrobial and soothing for the throat.
Acts as a prebiotic, feeding healthy gut bacteria.
Helps preserve and ferment the garlic, mellowing its sharpness while boosting its bioavailability.
✨ The Fermentation Magic:
As garlic sits in raw honey, it releases natural juices and enzymes.
The honey thins, bubbles, and begins to lightly ferment — creating beneficial enzymes, mild probiotics, and a gentler, sweeter flavor.
This process enhances nutrient absorption and makes it easier for your body to use the compounds in garlic.
What to do:
🔪 Peel & smash garlic cloves to release the allicin.
🫙 Pack cloves into a glass jar leaving room at the top.
🍯 Pour raw honey over the garlic so every clove is fully submerged. Let all air bubbles out before closing lid & leave at least ~½” headspace for expansion.
⏰ Store in a cool dark spot. Check regularly to “burp” the jar.
😋 Taste after 1-2 weeks. When you like the flavor store in the fridge for it to continue slowly fermenting.
How to use:
1 teaspoon daily for immune support (adults)
Add to warm (not hot) tea or water
Use as a glaze, salad dressing, or drizzle on toast
Happy fermenting & stay rooted,
Haylee
