Homemade Cough Syrup ✨
Why it works:
🍯Honey coats and soothes the throat, reducing irritation.
🍋Lemon thins mucus and adds vitamin C.
🫚Ginger helps calm inflammation and coughing.
What you need:
Raw Honey
Ginger
Lemon
Glass Jar
What to do:
Layer lemon peel & cut up ginger into a glass jar. Pour honey on top until at least 1/2” of honey is covering it. Let it sit for a minimum of 3 hours & enjoy.
Or you can warm honey on low, add the lemon & ginger. Let it infuse for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat & cool. Enjoy immediately!
Can be stored in the fridge for up to a month in a glass jar.
For a more potent batch add:
•Cinnamon & garlic (adds antimicrobial and immune-boosting benefits)
•Cayenne helps (open airways
