Hi friends, and welcome! I'm Haylee - a California native turned New England mountain dweller, hairdresser by trade and a big believer in living beautifully, simply & naturally.

I grew up in sunny Orange County, California with my two younger sisters, a retired hairdresser mom turned stay-at-home-mom and techy software salesman dad. In my twenties, I spent nearly a year traveling across the country, soaking in the landscapes, small towns and absorbing as much slow living as I possibly could. Eventually, I put down roots in the mountains of Litchfield County, Connecticut, where I now live in a little blue colonial house with my two beautiful daughters, my supportive blue-collar husband and our sweet dog, Harlow.

Life here has a slower rhythm. In the warmer months, I tend to our small garden on the side of the house, while our toddler plays peek-a-boo with Harlow behind the trees on the rolling hills of our backyard. When it's cold, we get crafty and do anything from finger painting to building tent forts in the living room. I do my best at making as much as I can homemade for my family - from bread and broth to dried herbs and bouquets of dahlias on our dining table. I love making herbal tinctures, exploring homeopathy and finding gentle, effective ways to care for both our health and our home.
